Clayton Whitter

Clayton joined CRIS in 2008 on our Raising Aspirations Programme with some experience of film making. He had acted before and had done many roles in locally shot films such as 'Looking For Eric', 'Broken Britain' and short films shot in an around Manchester. Clay's main aim was to develop his skills and gain some experience behind the camera. He had spent a number of years unemployed despite being a talented artist which had resulted in a lack of confidence in his abilities, and lack of direction in his career.

On completing his training he gained level 3 Video Production, and joined our work experience team to deliver two commercial videos for local bands and artists. For this, he took responsibility for overall creative input and technical support. From dealing with clients and interpreting brief, through to final delivery of finished product. Both pieces received much acclaim when used by both bands for promotion. Check them our below:

Clayton has now established his own business, is renting a studio space in Islington Mill and delivering his first feature film.
