About Us
CRIS has been operating in Salford and Greater Manchester for 7 years, and was established to deliver Creative projects with the community as a means of supporting training, work placement and employment opportunities. Some of this work has focused on small creative businesses getting support to establish themselves, look for funding and deliver their own projects. Predominantly we work with those most excluded from mainstream services and agencies, to provide an opportunity to improve self-confidence, and learn new skills. This does not always mean that our participants go on to work in the sector, but develop key transferable skills that can support them to access other services, which can help them back into the mainstream, through education or employment. This website has been developed as a tool to support that work, letting people know of opportunities, training programmes, projects and more importantly each other to foster better working relationships, partnerships and a platform to showcase work, and your own companies to achieve the same.
We are a small team, and where possible will provide support if it is within our means, this is not always funded, but we are more than happy to share our expertise and skills if we can.
